One of our teachers had another commitment to tend to today so I got to teach her 3 year old tap class! Before I even got to the studio this morning I thought "wow I really hope she told her little girls that they were going to have a different teacher today because if not they're probably going to freak. out."
As usual I was right.
She didn't tell the babies that I was going to be in there instead of her and as soon as one of the little girls realized her normal teacher wasn't there she started screaming.
It took me, her mom, and another teacher awhile to even get her out of her mom's arms let alone in the tap room. And when we did get her in the room she wouldn't do any of her steps, she just screamed and cried.
I'm serious y'all. She screamed. Like I had to turn up the music really loud and had to yell over her just so the other girls could hear me.
She acted that way for the first 30 minutes of class and then I finally just had her mom take her home. The thing was, they weren't even real tears. I was like you've got to be kidding me.
I found myself getting super frustrated but somehow managed to keep my cool and stay in a cheery mood for the rest of class.
I just hope the four year old's do better on Thursday...
What was your Tuesday like?! Let me know in the comments!
